Another aspect of the Truth is...

Though we cannot ever hope

to "earn our wings"

and become, overnight

or after death, as you please,

a bonafide angel

a true heavenly attendant

for those are CREATED

and not made into being that way

after any sort of promotion

or rank attribution...

Still, we can always hope

to achieve and attain

the state of SAINTHOOD

through either patience

goodness, kindness,

charitable demeanor

or, as Saint Sebastian

whom we honor today,

through martyrdom

in complete surrender

and acceptance of one's lot.
